“Emilie Louise Flöge” installation by Stephan Goldrajch is exposed for the Urban Folly II at the Leopold II Square, Sint-Pieters-Woluwe, Brussels, Belgium.
Urban Folly II – Emilie Louise Flöge, commissioned as part of the Year of Art Nouveau Brussels 2023, is an installation dedicated to this leading figure of the Viennese Secession. A friend of Gustave Klimt, Emilie Louise Flöge was a fashion figure recognised and admired for her artistic work as a stylist at the beginning of the 1900s.
Stephan Goldrajch has created a textile installation that pays tribute to the aesthetics and creations of this pioneering designer. The artist proposes here a mock-up of his installation currently on view in front of the Palais Stoclet in Brussels.
This project has been followed up by a series of workshops for children, who in their own way reinterpret the creations and links between Emilie Louise Flöge, Klimt and the Palais Stoclet.
