Ricardo Lanzarini presents a site-specific installation on the occasion of his personal exhibition Electrocardiograma escultórico at Subte, Montevideo, Uruguay, curated by Ticio Escobar. The exhibition offers a participative experience, inviting the visitor to a space where the art work is activated by the viewer’s memory and reflection.
The installation features mural drawings and interactive sculptures which create a proposal where light, space and viewer’s interactions collide. It was conceived as an integral whole that explores multiple dimensions: from the artist’s personal memory to social reflection, passing through time and distances in space.
The previous versions of the work were shown in various venues all over the worlds, such as the 18th Sydney Biennale, the 5th Moscow Biennial of Contemporary Art, the 4th San Juan Poly/Graphic Triennial in Puerto Rico, and the 21st Paiz Art Biennial in Guatemala.
