Vik Muniz will talk about his work and vision as well as his recent projects during a unique conference at the Sorbonne University on Wednesday November 27.
While referring to a collective cultural heritage, Vik Muniz’s photographs challenge the viewer’s perception. By reinforcing our feeling of familiarity with things, he “tricks the eye” and encourages our ability to look at things and analyze them: “vision is above all a form of intelligence, and recognition or identification a kind of comfort.”
