Yves Zurstrassen’s new works are presented in a solo exhibition “Free Time” at La Halle des Bouchers in Vienne, France.

Fan of jazz music and owner of hundreds of recordings, the artist finds a source of inspiration in this music for his painting and a kind of a mirror: a solid theme, precise rhythms, varied instruments that allow him to construct an ensemble whose perfect organisation permits all kinds of improvisations. For La Halle des Bouchers, Yves Zurstrassen has concieved the installation of 7 large-scale black and white paintings, especially created for the space and in relation to the Jazz festival 2024 in Vienne.
